With the year 1524 marked into a log, we have factual evidence for the age of this small house at Fletene at Holsen. Most likely Fletene is also the oldest farmyard in Førde municipality.
At Åsnes between Bryggja and Lefdal there is a two-storey house with stonewalls all the way up to the roof ridge. Malvin J. Aasnes used to own the farm there and he started early to build this house. Malvin wanted to move to the new house from the old farmyard because it had a commanding view to all sides. He used stones that he had cleared from his fields. Malvin ended his days at the old people's home at Bryggja. The stone house was nearly completed, but he did not get the chance to take it into use.
Fagerlia is located close to one kilometre from Totland (RV 15) on the road up to the farm Fagerlia. In former times most farmers at Totland had a "gardfjøs" there. One remaining "gardfjøs" still covered with a roof has an entrance door with bear protection.
