Throughout the years, Florø has been one of the most important ports in the county for Fylkesbaatane. A wide range of goods and commodities have been handled at this quay. This picture shows Fylkeskaia on a March day in 1965. Fodder for the animals on the islands is about to be loaded.

Fylkeskaia in the late 1950s. The new local boat "Hennøy", built in 1957, lies on the west side of the quay. The door of the harbour café, Haffen, can be seen above the bow of the boat. The café was located on the first floor, with a view towards the traffic in the streets of Torggata and Strandgata, and towards the harbour through the window in the pointed dormer above the entrance. In the background we can see the canning factory.

The Fylkesbaatane quay in Florø was for many years the hub of a network of local routes in Sunnfjord and along the coast. On the first floor was the harbour café, Haffen.
